The Chevrolet Tahoe offers three powertrains: a standard 355-horsepower 5.3-liter EcoTec3 eight-cylinder with Dynamic Fuel Management, Direct Injection, Variable Valve Timing, and an aluminum block; an available 420-horsepower 6.2-liter EcoTec3 eight-cylinder; and an available 305-horsepower 3.0-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel inline-six, rated up to 22 MPG city and 26 MPG highway. All pair with a 10-speed automatic featuring Traction Select and Tow/Haul modes. Rear-wheel drive is standard on select trims; four-wheel drive is available or standard, depending on configuration.
